So begins a new year and with it new opportunities. I decided I'd give this online thing a second shot and hope it doesn't go all squirrely like last time.
First thing, I am a BBW so if that's not your thing please don't waste our time.
About me:
I am 32, single and don't have children. Although I would like to at some point.
I work in retail and study accounting.
My background however is in healthcare.
I recently won my fight against cancer.
My family is very important to me.
I am an amateur photographer. I recently bought my first digital camera and I love it!
I like sports, hockey and football are my favorites.
I love animals of all kinds.
My biggest pet peeve is improper use of the English language.
I love to read and write and was once published in a book of poetry.
I have a rather dark and sarcastic sense of humor that not many people get.
I am a music junkie. Music is always playing in my house, unless the game is on of course.
I do not know how to drive. Gasp! I know it's horrible isn't it?! I plan on changing that this year.
My filter is permanently broken, meaning I often say exactly what is on my mind.
What I am looking for:
It would be rather easy to sit here and write a laundry list of the perfect man. But, alas, the perfect man does not exist.
So I'll settle for his brother! :o)
I'd like to find someone to hang out with. Go to movies or out for a drink when the mood strikes. If it leads to more than friendship that would be fabulous.
Preferably you're around my age give or take a few years. And please be single, I'm not looking for a hook-up and I certainly don't want to be the 'other' woman.
You have a job and can take care of yourself.
You know what you want out of life or at least a pretty good idea.
We don't need to have EVERYTHING in common but a few areas would be ideal. I mean if you don't like music or animals we won't get along.
I would greatly prefer you don't smoke as I quit smoking myself almost a year ago.
You have an awesome sense of humor and can laugh at yourself.
You're intelligent and can hold a decent conversation about things other than your hair or how your ass looks in those jeans.
I don't mind occasional 420 use but not looking for a chronic.

This is not a fireworks show.
This is the seventh cycle:
The repetition of the repetitive.
Chemotherapy:
A poisonous antidote.
A siege of IV fluids.
This is not an exploding sun.
This is the therapeutic crypt,
A world removed from the realms of
Surfing dandelions, croissant cafes,
Lipstick kisses and pipebomb hysterias.
This is the world of oncology,
Relaxed and friendly,
Make yourself at home.
No alarm cries of dementia,
No rabid chimpanzees of panic,
No napalm in the marzipan.
Chemotherapy is not a Christmas stocking
Stacked with ink spray surprises
But a stack of wet bus tickets,
Moldering.
Cancer is not opera.
It is stuffed pillows,
Constipated clocks,
Tapioca without land mines.
In the domain of needles
Broccoli is reliably green
And I am a reclining spine
Gnawed at by zeroes
From now until the rice bubble morning.
