I hope to find a LT lover and friend for the obvious: intimacy/passion/romance/thrills/adventure, dating and intellectual & emotional connectivity. Please be HWP and somewhere between 30-45 or so and charmingly unconventional.
When I can, I enjoy time at the beach, intense thunderstorms, reading anytime and all the time, being in the forest when it’s raining, the interwebs, 420, afternoons at Powell’s and coffee shops, etc. You know, Portland stuff sans bicycle. Just not there yet re: my bike. Maybe I’m rebelling. Maybe I just can’t handle helmet hair. Maybe my bike just sucks.
I think I’m passionate, empathic, affectionate and loving and intense and also friendly and funny; sincere and thoughtful of others’ feelings; independent, outspoken and assertive. I love to make people laugh in a spontaneous way, especially in otherwise un-funny situations. I am happiest when others around me are happy too.
I’m busy and am ok with other busy people, but if you only have time for me once every week or two, it probably won’t work. I’m not interested in a hook-up. “Lover”, to me, is completely definitionally different. It implies something that in time becomes real and possibly enduring if it works out, but may or may not be a monogomous relationship. It involves emotional intimacy as well as physical intimacy. But who knows? First things first. My god, we haven’t even met yet!

Fave comedy includes Jon Stewart (secret crush–i guess the cat’s out of the bag now), Sacha Baron Cohen–esp Ali G & Borat–(“We make sexy time?”), Dave Chappelle, John Belushi, Steve Martin, Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Christopher Walken (“I need more cowbell!”) , etc.
Other interests include secular Buddhism (Mark Epstein, MD especially), memoir, old-style erotica (Anais Nin), Sylvia Plath, psychology & law and the intersection thereof, etc., etc…
I like David Sedaris and the Sun magazine and reading all kinds of stuff, but mostly non-fiction.
Some more of my favorite things…kissing! red wine (Amarone especially); romantic suspense; jazz 1920s, 30s and 40s style; dry Bombay Sapphire martinis, extra cold with a twist; taking a stand and some action on something that matters; laughing really hard; the electric chemistry of true compatibility; documentary film; absurd humor; sensitivity and tact balanced with candor and directness. I play a marginally decent game of pool sometimes but i will kick your ass with my ninja ping pong serve (after the serve, it’s all downhill for me.) Well-done tattoos a plus. I could go on, but this is getting tediously long in case you hadn’t noticed…I like words. A lot.
