Sad occupation for a girl to be up this late posting on Craigslist.. but I thought I'd give this a shot.
A little about me.. I am a recent transplant from Florida (the St. Pete area) to the Metro Detroit area. I used to live here before moving to Florida, so why come back? Just missed the snow that much.. ha. Was that dripping with enough sarcasm? Actually I decided to go and finish off my degree at Grand Valley State University. Some of my interests include having intellectual discussions on a wide range of topics about philosophy, various religious studies, psychology (which is my major), sociology and a bunch of others things. :) It's just fun to discuss things especially with people with different views (provided there's an actual exchange of ideas!). I admit, I'm a dork.. and I love reading new things. Currently reading Oscar Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray" and Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged." I'm also a bit of a video game chick.. old and new. From NES to Xbox 360. It's not my life by any means, but I like to putz around with some games every once and awhile. I love playing guitar too, just don't ask me to play anything.. I get all shy.. :)
I like to play pool, bowl, play at the arcade, hang at the bar a little here and there.. of course hanging out someplace quiet is always nice too. :) I love music, especially getting into new stuff. I love going for walks in nature especially with someone with whom you can have a great conversation. I love going to local concerts when I get the opportunity.. Sista Otis is awesome! If you know who she is, huge props to you. On the not so local scene, I've recently been into Muse, Dregd, Damien Rice, Kidney Thieves and Anberlin.
I really wouldn't define myself as either butch or femme.. I rather find those labels kinda silly actually. I'm somewhere in the middle. I have no problem killing a spider (or palmetto bug when I was in Florida... which unless you've never seen them, is a big deal.. look them up, I swear) but I love cuddling up and watching a movie. I don't wear makeup and I probably won't wear a dress unless begged to do so, but I can cook.. so that counts for something right? ;-) Truth be told, I'm a big kid at heart.
Sooo.. as to what I'm looking for in a girl.. I'm looking for a girl who knows what she wants, someone who is self-aware, intelligent and kind-hearted. As I'm looking for someone intelligent, I would love to get coherent messages. I'm a little anal about proper grammar and spelling. :) I just find it a huge turn-off when someone writes like "i thik u r hot!!" or something along those lines. That's probably a little superficial, but how one writes says a lot about a person in my opinion. As far as looks go, I don't care that much really. One's personality and soul are really what matter to me. Your size isn't a huge factor as long as you can get around and enjoy doing physical activities like going on walks or even wouldn't mind throwing around a frisbee or something along those lines.
I'd like to find someone who would like to hang out, go out on dates and who knows after that.. ultimately I'd like to find someone to date seriously. I'm not looking for guys, threesomes or a hookup. So please don't email me if that's what you're looking for. I would however like to meet up after a few emails and maybe talking on the phone.. again, I'm a bit shy as I mentioned before. Oh! I'm a non-smoker, so my preference is that you are too. I enjoy going out for drinks though and don't mind either way if you're 420 friendly (it's not my thing, but it doesn't bother me if it's something you're into).
